About Us
Swami Vivekananda Mission Central school is sponsored by Swami Vivekananda Mission Trust registered under the charitable societies act of Travancore.
In 1984 the Government of Kerala was kind enough to grant recognition to one of the UP schools of the mission trust. In the year 1998 the CBSE is pleased to award affiliation up to class X and later on 2006 the school is upgraded as a Senior Secondary School.
Our Aim and Objectives (Our Mission)
The Primary aim of the school is to give each student an all-round education and make them an asset to our country. It helps them to stand on their own feet and teach them self-confidence and self-respect.
The main objective is to impart liberal education to the pupil irrespective of caste, creed, religion or politics. The second motto is to spread the message of universal brother hood. To concentrate on these principles, we have adopted Swami Vivekananda as our ideologist and follow his ideas and objectives.
Our Leading Lamp
‘The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new’, this was what Advocate C S Parameswaran Nair – the founder of Swami Vivekananda Mission Central School – all about. He proved himself that without an action, a vision is just a piece of paper and hence selected his area of action as education.
While working as a Central School teacher in the eastern region of India, he happened to be in touch with Sri Sarada Math and Vivekananda Kendra in Kolkata. In 1983, he came back to Kerala and started Swami Vivekananda Mission Trust . Under the trust, two schools were opened – Swami Vivekananda Mission Central School and Swami Vivekananda Mission Upper Primary School.
Fondly known as C P Sir amongst students, staff and locals, Parameswaran Nair had been an inspiration to all and had actively participated in social activities. A prolific speaker, he often cited famous quotations of world leaders to inspire the students; Vladimir Lenin’s words – “Your first duty is to study. Your second duty also is to study. And your last duty too is only to study ” – was one among them.
